2009 Phazer RTX
The super-lightweight FX chassis lets you pitch the sled where you want it deep into a corner or preload it hard before a road approach.
The Phazer RTX's Dual Shock CK torsion spring rear suspension, with its clicker-adjustable reservoir rear shock, lets you tune the compression damping. The RTX's new lightweight Fox FLOAT air front shocks soak up the moguls on the trail. The defending "Snowmobile of the Year" Phazer is as light, or lighter, than most 2-stroke sleds out there and is the least expensive full-size 4-stroke sled on the market. To play fair, when all sleds have electric start and full gas tanks, the Phazer can be up to 60 pounds lighter than the other guys!
FREE-REVVING POWER 500cc lightweight liquid-cooled twin delivers 80 horsepower class performance. Genesis 80 FI is based on the lightweight fast-revving YZ250F motocross engine. Fuel injection for right-now response. Four-stroke efficiency for torque, fuel economy and durability.
LESS WEIGHT Even with standard electric start, Phazer is one of the lightest liquid-cooled snowmobiles on the planet. A completely new lightweight design makes the Phazer quick and responsive.
SPORT RIDER FORWARD With its narrow seat and tunnel with wide running boards and hooked handlebars, the Phazer lets you lock into the sled and control its every move.
DOUBLE-WISHBONE FRONT WISHBONE All-new Phazer double-wishbone independent front suspension maximizes big bump control without sacrificing tight cornering agility.
MORE EFFICIENT The Genesis 80 FI has excellent on-snow fuel efficiency and smooth performance. Yamaha four strokes enjoy miles-per-gallon advantages fewer fuel stops cleaner combustion no two-stroke oil needed.
SUSPENSION The RTX's Dual Shock CK rear suspension uses a performance-tuned remote reservoir clicker shock to let you fine-tune the calibration to your liking.
FOX FLOAT AIR SHOCKS Contained in a lightweight aluminum body, a nitrogen-charged internal floating piston works with the air spring to reduce weight and shock fade in the roughest conditions. They cut three pounds per sled, as compared to traditional coil over springs. They are individually tunable by using a pocket-sized air pump, which comes with the sled. Advantage RTX.
LESS OIL With Yamaha Genesis series engines you just add fuel. No oil except when you schedule a seasonal oil change. With Yamaha four strokes, oil stays in the motor to lubricate it. With a two stroke's 100 percent "oil loss" system, oil gets blown out the exhaust making them more costly to operate.
SERIOUS SAVINGS Phazer is serious fun snowmobiling with serious savings built in. Priced right. Economical to operate. Phazer and all Yamaha four-stroke snowmobiles offer serious advantages in performance, reliability, fuel and oil efficiency that last way beyond your first ride. These are serious advantages for serious riders.
PUSH BUTTON REVERSE Convenient pushbutton electronic reverse makes off-loading your trailer easy.
ELECTRIC START Every Yamaha snowmobile comes standard with electric start. Shouldn't every so-called high-tech new sled in the 21st century?
CF DIE-CAST CONSTRUCTION While designed to enhance sporty riding, Phazer GT chassis is a CF die-cast aluminum design, which Yamaha pioneered. This process reduces weight and needless parts while adding durability.
LCD GAUGES Large read-at-a-glance gauge cluster monitors speed and engine performance. Multi-functional design shows hand and thumb warmer settings as well.
To insure exceptional reliability this all new 4-stroke engine features a special 'knock sensor' system that continually monitors and compensates for low octane or poor quality fuel.
